About Jason

Here’s a little bit about myself to make your journey with All Around Adventure a more personal experience. Born and raised in a small town in south-western Ontario, where it seemed the amount of “opportunity” had always been minimal. At the age of 18 I decided to leave home and move to Alberta, Canada. Which, approximately 1 year later I realized, was a bad decision and I moved home by the age of 19. I decided to stay around home for a few years. During that few years while working a dead end job, I decided to start travelling (through the influence of a good friend). After taking multiple basic trips, I had obtained the travel bug. Not long after that I decided to book my first solo trip. After a few Skype sessions with a friend that was living in Singapore, I was Asia bound. I knew this was going to be a completely new experience in comparison of the past travelling I have done. All I had was a one-way-flight, my passport, a camera, and my first night booked in a hostel. This first trip had opened my eyes on how fascinating this planet we live on really is. After a couple trips I decided to move back to western Canada, back to Alberta. This is where me and my fiancee currently reside. I bought a house a few years back, and have recently converted it into an income property. I am a red seal powerline technician. I enjoy my time in the mountains whether it be snowboarding, camping, hiking or split boarding. Other hobbies include skydiving, motorcycling, rock climbing, scuba diving and planning our next trip. Strongest passions are scuba diving and travelling. Long term goal is to do a scuba internship, and obtain a scuba instructor certificate, which then opens a whole new window for world travel. My current job has allowed me to travel mostly throughout Canada. Last year we got called to help reconstruct in the Caribbean after a hurricane went through. I’ve been working in Canada ever since. That’s pretty much the short and sweet on myself Fun-Loving, Adrenaline Junkie, Travel Enthusiast.
