About Jenny

I’m Jenny from Germany, in my mid-30s. A little over a year ago I quit my job to do some more travels. At an early age my passion for exploring new places has been shown already. I was only 3 years old when I decided not to get out of the car at my parents’ home after a short drive through my little village. Instead I went on a one week trip to Pampow (near Schwerin, Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania) with my relatives. This was followed by a few vacation trips through Europe by car till I went on my first plane ride to Italy when I was 18. At the age of 23 I started my first long term stay abroad as an Au Pair in America. So to say, Seattle became my second home for the following 2 years and is still a big part of my life which resulted in several trips there ever since.

Since then, I’m always eager for Fernweh. Whereby, I prefer to get to know countries and people better during long stays. Hence, I went to New Zealand and Australia for 8,5 months in 2014/15. After being back in Germany I already kind of planned my next trip. I always wanted to go to Canada, but to finally go there I had to save up some money. 2 ¾ years later I couldn’t bear those itchy feet that’s when I connected my passion for sports with traveling and participated as a volunteer at the Olympic Winter Games 2018 in PyeongChang. After that I fulfilled my dream to go to Canada where I’ve been spending the last year on a Work and Holiday Visa. Certainly, there are more adventures ahead of me…
